Davos Seaworth finds that Wex' eyes look older than the boy himself is. Wex has a tangle of dark brown hair with an almost feral face. He has a wide mouth, a sharp nose and a pointed chin. He learns quickly.

Recent Events

A Clash of Kings

Wex becomes the squire of Theon Greyjoy as part of the deal that Theon strikes to buy a horse from Lord Sawane Botley of Lordsport.[2] As squire to Theon, Wex raids the Stony Shore and helps capture Winterfell with him. When Bran and Rickon Stark disappear, Wex is part of the search party.[3] He is the first to stand alongside Theon when the northmen come to retake the castle.

A Dance With Dragons

Wex survived the Sack of Winterfell carried out by Ramsay Snow by climbing the heart tree in the godswood. He witnesses the departure of Bran and Rickon Stark along with their direwolves and companions. He then proceeds to follow Rickon, Osha and Shaggydog to Skagos, before returning to civilization. He is captured and taken to White Harbor, where they realise he is not unintelligent, only mute. They begin to teach him his letters, asking only yes or no questions. When the truth of the sack of Winterfell begins to come out, his keepers deliver him to Wyman Manderly, Lord of White Harbor, who tasks Davos Seaworth to seek out and return Rickon to Winterfell.[4]
