Willem Lannister is a scion of House Lannister. His father is Kevan Lannister and his mother Dorna Swyft. He is a squire. Lord Gawen Westerling, a bannerman of his uncle, once suggested that Willem or his twin Martyn would marry Gawen's daughter. Kevan refused this offer because he considered Jeyne of dubious blood due to her mother's lineage.[1]

Recent Events
A Game of Thrones
Willem is part of the army of his cousin Jaime Lannister that invades the Riverlands. He fights in the Battle of the Whispering Wood and is captured there together with his cousin, Tion by Robb Stark.[2]
A Clash of Kings
Tyrion Lannister and Robb Stark attempt to negotiate his release but no agreement is reached.[3] During his captivity in Riverrun he shares a room with his cousin Tion Frey.
A Storm of Swords
The boys are murdered by Rickard Karstark who seeks revenge for the death of his sons. Rickard's sons were both killed by Ser Jaime Lannister in the Battle of the Whispering Wood.[4] Rickard had wanted to kill Jaime but when he was released by Catelyn Tully he felt robbed of his revenge and choose Willem and Tion instead. With some of his men, Karstark killed the boys and their guards. One of the boys was killed in his sleep, the other had tried to fight before he was killed.[5]
Robb Stark was furious about the killing of the captives. He executed Karstark with his accomplices.[6]
Family
Appearance
After they have been murdered Catelyn saw the bodies of Tion and Willem. She observed that one was blond wore his hair long and was trying to grow a beard. He was probably killed in his sleep. His cousin was brown-haired and had fought for his life. Both were pale from their imprisonment.[7]
