Although they avoid piracy, Sistermen are known to be wreckers.[1] The Stepstones is historically a home for wreckers.[2][3]

History

A wildling woman pulled some scarlet silk coming from Asshai from a wrecked cog which had washed up on the Frozen Shore. Her granddaughter later used the silk to sew back Mance Rayder's torn off cloak after he was attacked by a shadowcat.[4]

King Aerys II Targaryen accused his Hand of the King, Lord Tywin Lannister, of somehow arranging the shipwreck of Windproud, causing the death of Lord Steffon Baratheon.[5][6]

Lord Godric Borrell caused shipwrecks by turning off the Night Lamp.[1]
